In The Field: Málaga, Spain

A view of the Málaga Cathedral which stands in the heart of the city.

Málaga is one of the oldest cities in Europe and one of the oldest continually inhabited cities in the world. The human scale architecture, and layout of the city, make it a nice place to explore on foot.

These are a few things I came across while wandering around in 2020.

Facade details and faces looking down on the city’s narrow streets.
Street cats lounging on the steps of the Malaga Roman Theatre, built by Emperor Caesar Augustus.

A late afternoon sun washes the top of the Alcazaba of Málaga, a fort built in the 11th century.
